India: The Golden Triangle & Ranthambore Tiger Safari

Journey: 2026 - 2027 Duration: 8 Days Double Sharing Price: $6900 pp Single Room Price: $7600 pp Limited To: 2-16

Delhi • Agra • Ranthambore • Jaipur • Delhi
A Seek and Savor Travel program through imperial Delhi, Mughal Agra, Ranthambore Tiger Safari, and the royal heritage of Jaipur.

This 8-day India journey is designed as an elegant north India arc that begins in Delhi, continues to Agra for the Taj Mahal and Mughal heritage, shifts into the quieter rhythm of tiger country in Ranthambore, and then returns to Rajasthan’s courtly world in Jaipur before concluding back in Delhi. What makes the route memorable is not simply the icons themselves, but the progression between them: imperial capital, marble monument, wildlife landscape, and Rajput royal city, all woven together in a way that feels coherent rather than hurried. Reframed in the Seek and Savor style, the program emphasizes atmosphere, cultural context, strong hotel positioning, and the kind of thoughtful pacing that allows each destination to register fully.

Day 1

Arrive in Delhi and Welcome Dinner

Arrive in Delhi and begin the journey with ease, settling into Taj Palace before an included welcome dinner.

Guests are met privately on arrival and transferred to Taj Palace, New Delhi. The first day is intentionally measured: time to recover from international travel, settle in, and ease into India’s rhythm in comfort rather than haste. In the evening, the program opens with a chef-led cooking class and welcome dinner, a warm and flavorful introduction to North India through spices, breads, sauces, hospitality, and conversation.

Day 2

Delhi Exploration

Explore both Old and New Delhi through monuments, markets, Mughal layers, and imperial avenues.

Today balances the dense energy of Old Delhi with the broader ceremonial vision of New Delhi. In Old Delhi, guests enter Jama Masjid, continue by rickshaw and on foot through Chandni Chowk, and experience the sensory intensity of Khari Baoli spice market, with an exterior reading of the Red Fort along the way. The afternoon shifts into New Delhi, with Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Kartavya Path, the Presidential Estate, and the government buildings of Lutyens’ Delhi revealing the city as a planned imperial capital. A curated cultural encounter focused on food, spices, tea, textiles, and design helps connect the city’s great monuments to the living traditions that continue to shape it.

Day 3

Delhi to Agra, Taj Mahal and Mughal Heritage

Travel to Agra and experience the Taj Mahal as both a world icon and a deeply emotional monument.

Depart Delhi by luxury coach for Agra. Once in Agra, the Taj Mahal is presented not simply as a bucket-list sight, but as Shah Jahan’s 17th-century funerary complex for Mumtaz Mahal, where white marble, pietra dura inlay, Quranic calligraphy, garden geometry, and riverfront siting combine to create its extraordinary emotional effect. The visit is paired with Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna River for a wider understanding of the Taj’s setting. An artisan-led marble inlay demonstration connects the monument to Agra’s living craft traditions, giving the city a more personal and tactile dimension.

Day 4

Agra to Ranthambore

Explore Agra Fort and marble craft before continuing onward into Rajasthan and tiger country.

The day begins with Agra Fort, interpreted as both military stronghold and imperial palace complex, with red sandstone walls, audience halls, marble apartments, and river views that connect the worlds of Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna. A marble craft encounter further links Agra’s Mughal architecture to the artisan traditions behind its pietra dura work. Guests then continue by luxury coach to Ranthambore, where the journey shifts from monument and empire to the quieter anticipation of the safari chapter. Arrival at The Maharajah Lodge marks a clear sensory transition from India’s cities into tiger country.

Day 5

Jaipur

Spend a full day in Ranthambore National Park, entering the forest in changing light and with a deeper understanding of its ecology.

The morning safari enters the park at first light, when tracks, alarm calls, and movement near water help the naturalist team interpret the forest. After returning to the lodge for lunch and rest, guests reenter the park in the afternoon, when warmer light changes the mood of the landscape and brings renewed attention to tiger habitat, prey behavior, lakes, and the ruined pavilions that make Ranthambore one of India’s most atmospheric wildlife settings. The day is designed not only around the possibility of tiger sightings, but around learning how to read the park itself.

Day 6

Ranthambore to Jaipur

Begin in tiger country and end the day in Jaipur, where the journey returns to royal Rajasthan.

The day starts with a final Ranthambore safari at dawn, when the forest is often at its most atmospheric: sambar deer near the lakes, langur alarm calls, fresh tracks on the road, birdlife in the trees, and the possibility of a tiger moving between forest, water, and shade. After returning to the lodge, guests depart by luxury coach for Jaipur. By the time they arrive at Le Méridien Jaipur Resort & Spa, the experience has shifted once again—from wilderness and watchfulness to the softer elegance of gardens, fort walls, and the courtly architecture of Rajasthan.

Jaipur Royal Heritage

Discover Jaipur’s forts, palaces, scientific ingenuity, and living artisan traditions.

Today is devoted to Jaipur’s royal and scientific core. Guests visit Amber Fort, with time to appreciate its hilltop setting, gateways, courtyards, mirrored chambers, defensive walls, and views across the Aravalli landscape. The program continues to the City Palace, where courtly architecture and museum collections illuminate the Kachwaha rulers, then to Jantar Mantar, whose monumental instruments were built to measure time and celestial movement. A stop at the Hawa Mahal facade adds one of Jaipur’s most recognizable architectural moments. The day also includes a curated artisan encounter centered on hand-block printing, gems, textiles, and traditional cuisine, allowing Jaipur to be felt not only as a city of facades but as a city of working traditions.

Jaipur to Delhi and Departure

Return to Delhi by luxury coach for onward departures, closing the program with a final overland perspective on north India.

After breakfast, guests depart Jaipur by luxury coach and return to Delhi for onward departures. The drive serves as a final transition back toward the capital, allowing the journey to close with a sense of completeness: Delhi for arrival and imperial scale, Agra for Mughal refinement, Ranthambore for wildness, Jaipur for royal Rajasthan, and Delhi once more for departure. It is an efficient and polished conclusion to a richly layered week in north India.

Day 1, Day 2

Taj Palace, New Delhi

An excellent opening base in the Diplomatic Enclave, Taj Palace offers the calm, polish, and generous sense of space that one wants after a long international flight. It sets the tone beautifully for the program, balancing classic Indian hospitality with the efficiency needed for a strong start in Delhi.

Day 3

Tajview, Agra

Chosen for its comfort, service, and strategic position in Agra, Tajview supports the Taj Mahal portion of the journey with ease. It offers a restful setting after touring while keeping the experience centered on the monument, craft, and Mughal inheritance that define the city.

Day 4 , Day 5

The Maharajah Lodge, Ranthambore

This lodge anchors the safari portion with the right rhythm: early starts, time between drives, meals that support the pace of the park, and a setting that helps guests shift mentally from city and monument into tiger country. In Ranthambore, the accommodation matters because it shapes how the safari is felt.

Day 6, Day 7

Le Méridien Jaipur Resort & Spa

Le Méridien Jaipur gives the final chapter a resort-style close with space, comfort, and a more relaxed Rajasthan atmosphere. It works especially well after safari, offering breathing room while remaining close enough to Jaipur’s forts, palaces, observatories, and artisan traditions.
