Day 6
Spiritual Kathmandu
On the sixth day, your journey takes a reflective turn as you begin the morning at Swayambhunath, the iconic stupa perched high above the Kathmandu Valley. Overlooking the Bisnumati River to the west and Lake Road by the Bagmati River, this sacred site offers a peaceful start to the day. With prayer flags fluttering in the breeze, you may receive a quiet blessing from a Buddhist monk—an invitation to pause and take in the spiritual energy that surrounds you.
Next, immerse yourself in the lively rhythm of Ason Bazaar during a street food walk through its bustling alleys. The flavors, aromas, and atmosphere reflect the everyday heartbeat of Kathmandu.
In the afternoon, visit the sacred grounds of Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu shrines devoted to Lord Shiva. Here, tradition, devotion, and history converge, offering a powerful glimpse into Nepal’s spiritual depth.
After bleedings from the temples, join us for an immersive Traditional Nepali Meal Cooking Class where you’ll learn to prepare classic dishes such as Dal (lentils), Bhat (steamed rice), Tarkari (seasonal vegetables), Aachar (pickle), and the beloved Momo (dumplings). Guided by local culinary experts, this hands-on experience offers a flavorful journey into Nepali cuisine. At the end of the class, you’ll receive a special spice pack containing all the authentic spices used during cooking—perfect for recreating the magic back home. We’ll wrap up the day with a warm meal and great memories.
