Journey: 2026 - 2027 Duration: 10 Days Double Sharing Price: $5600 pp Single Room Price: $6100 pp Customized Departures

*These journeys are independently organized and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the alumni-affiliated universities.

Nepal is a country where spirituality, artistry, and landscape are inseparable—where ancient kingdoms, Himalayan horizons, and living traditions shape daily life in ways both profound and enduring. This Alumni journey has been thoughtfully designed to move beyond sightseeing, offering a deeper exploration of Nepal’s cultural, spiritual, and ecological richness.

Your experience begins in the Kathmandu Valley, a UNESCO-designated cultural heartland where centuries-old temples, royal courtyards, and sacred rituals continue to define the rhythm of the city. Guided explorations of Patan and Bhaktapur reveal extraordinary craftsmanship and artistic heritage, while rare moments—such as a private blessing from the Living Goddess Kumari and a monk-led experience at Swayambhunath—offer insight into spiritual traditions that remain deeply woven into everyday life.

From the cultural intensity of the valley, the journey shifts to the tranquil landscapes of Pokhara. Set against the backdrop of the Annapurna range, this lakeside city offers a different perspective on Nepal—one defined by stillness, reflection, and sweeping Himalayan vistas. Sunrise over snow-capped peaks, quiet boat journeys across Phewa Lake, and time spent in monasteries and meditation create space to absorb the scale and serenity of the mountains.

The final chapter unfolds in Chitwan National Park, where Nepal’s biodiversity comes into focus. Here, guided safaris through subtropical forest and grassland reveal a different dimension of the country—home to one-horned rhinos, diverse birdlife, and, with luck, the elusive Bengal tiger. Encounters with Tharu communities further illuminate the relationship between culture, conservation, and landscape.

Throughout, the journey is anchored by thoughtfully selected five-star accommodations that reflect each setting—from a heritage palace in Kathmandu to a lakeside retreat in Pokhara and a refined jungle sanctuary in Chitwan—ensuring both comfort and a strong sense of place.

Shared with a community of alumnae, this experience is designed for travelers who seek depth over spectacle—those drawn to places where culture is lived, spirituality is tangible, and landscapes invite reflection. It is not simply a journey through Nepal, but an opportunity to engage with a country whose traditions and perspectives continue to shape how people understand the world.
