UGANDA LUXURY 10 days of Giants & Great Apes: Rhinos, Big Five, Gorillas & Chimps

Journey: 2025 - 2027 Duration: 10 Days Double Sharing Price: $7500 pp Single Room Price: $8700 pp Limited To: 2-16

The MUSTANG: The Tiji Festival UGANDA LUXURY 10 days of Giants & Great Apes:Uganda-Winston Churchill’s famed “Pearl of Africa”-is one of the most biologically diverse and visually dramatic destinations on the continent. Here, lush equatorial rainforests meet sweeping savannah, volcanic crater lakes shimmer beneath emerald hills, and the legendary Nile River begins its long journey northward. This thoughtfully curated Seek & Savor expedition reveals Uganda through its wildlife, landscapes, and cultural encounters, creating a journey that feels both deeply adventurous and profoundly restorative.

Over ten remarkable days, travelers move through some of East Africa’s most extraordinary ecosystems. The journey begins along the shores of Lake Victoria, where travelers ease into the rhythm of Uganda before venturing north toward the savannah wilderness of Murchison Falls National Park, home to elephants, giraffes, lions, and the thunderous cascade where the Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge. Along the way, guests encounter one of Africa’s most inspiring conservation success stories while tracking endangered white rhinos on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where these giants roam freely again.

From the savannah, the landscape shifts dramatically into the ancient rainforests of Kibale National Park, often called the primate capital of the world. Here, the air hums with life as guests trek through dense forest in search of wild chimpanzees, observing their social behaviors and intelligence in one of Africa’s most intimate wildlife encounters.

The expedition then continues into the sweeping savannah and crater lake landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where game drives reveal tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, buffalo, and abundant birdlife. Boat excursions along the Kazinga Channel bring travelers eye-to-eye with hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of water birds gathering along the banks of the Great Rift Valley.

The emotional heart of the journey unfolds in the mist-covered mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sanctuary to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Trekking through dense jungle to spend time with a habituated gorilla family is widely considered one of the most powerful wildlife experiences on Earth-an encounter that is both humbling and unforgettable.

The adventure concludes in the tranquil highlands of Lake Bunyonyi, often described as one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes. Its emerald waters and scattered islands provide a peaceful finale to the journey, offering time to reflect on the extraordinary wildlife, landscapes, and cultural encounters experienced along the way.

Throughout the expedition, Seek & Savor travelers stay in carefully selected lodges that blend comfort with a strong sense of place—properties chosen not only for their views and hospitality, but for their commitment to conservation and community partnerships. Private guiding, thoughtful pacing, and immersive experiences ensure that every day balances discovery with comfort.

More than a safari, this journey is an exploration of Africa’s most diverse wilderness, where each landscape tells a different story and every encounter deepens the connection between traveler and place.
